I wrote a PLAY! A WHOLE PLAY!! My first play, ‘Funny, You Don’t Act Like A Negro’, made it’s debut on the Theatre Three stage on Monday, February 24th. I couldn’t have been more proud and grateful. We are entering our 2nd weekend of shows and I would love it if you’d join us this weekend or for any of the remaining shows through March 15th. The play, ‘FUNNY, YOU DON’T ACT LIKE A NEGRO’, explores the prejudgments we make on our neighbors, the biases we inadvertently pass on to our children and how the simple act of talking to one another is being subverted by social media. Join us for the show and the engaging post show discussions!! I will be part of the discussion this Saturday and I am so excited. AND a special bonus….This Monday, March 2 at 6:30, Theatre Three and Change the Perception will host a very special Community Conversation, AT THE THEATER, to discuss the themes of the play and help us begin the dialogue on bias and how it impacts our society.
