It’s a busy week Cabaret, Theater and Conversation Land!!! And for that, I’m a Happy Girl!!
If you haven’t had a chance to see ‘Rasheeda Speaking’ at Circle Theatre, PLEASE plan to catch it. Two shows today and one more weekend. One of the most intense, thought provoking roles I’ve gotten to play and I’m having a blast.
Along with that we’ve got TWO Community Conversations coming up. One, I’m thrilled to say will be at Circle Theatre on Wednesday, May 17th. It’s our first one in Ft. Worth. Please come out and join us. Also, on Monday, May 22nd, we will have our regular Community Conversation in Dallas at the Dallas Children’s Theater at 6:30 p.m. You can find information about them both on our Change The Perception Dallas page on FB (New Website coming soon – If there are any volunteer social media wizards out there looking to do some good and help maintain these things, let me know) An email will being going out today as well with all of the details, so if you haven’t already, JOIN THE MAILING LIST!!!
And last but not least, IT’S CABARET TUESDAY ON THE 16th & THE 23rd! First on May 16th at 7:30 a Special Cabaret Event at Two Corks and a Bottle. SYTYCC – So You Think You Can Cabaret will feature some incredibly talented artists who are new to the Cabaret scene. They will be competing for a spot in this year’s Dallas Cabaret Festival at Fair Park in July. Special guests judges and audience votes will determine who get their own 45 minute set. Please come out and support these artists and this art form!!!
And on May 23rd, DLO at Fair Park is proud to present someone I’ve wanted to have in our series for a while. The incomparable Heather Paterson performing ‘Off The Beaten Path – the Life & Music of Susannah McCorkle”. A night of jazz you don’t want to miss!!! Show starts at 7:30.
